Looking for additional ways to show off your dancing skills? The Iowa Barnstormers will host a joint tryout for both the Storm Chasers Dance Team and the Flight Line Promo Team on Sunday, January 21st at Pulse Dance Fitness Studio in West Des Moines. Check-in and registration will open at 12:30 p.m. with the tryout beginning promptly at 1:00 p.m.

The Storm Chasers Dance Team will perform on the field at every home game, both pre-game and at half-time. The Storm Chasers will also lead sideline cheers throughout each and every game.

The Flight Line Promo Team assists in cheering on the team and participates in all in-game and on-field promotions throughout each game.

Both Teams appear at different community events and in social media promotions throughout the year as representatives of the Iowa Barnstormers organization.

This audition is open to any female 18 years of age and older who is interested in representing the Iowa Barnstormers both on-field and in the community. Pre-registration is $30 and day-of registration fees increase to $40 per participant. Pre-registration will close on Monday, January 15th. All Pulse Dance Fitness Studio members can use code PULSE at checkout to receive an additional discount on top of the pre-registration price!

PULSE DANCE CLASS AT SMASH PARK!  

Join us for a Pulse Dance Class at Smash Park on Saturday, January 13th at 9:30am on the indoor Pickleball court! 

Registration: $5/person and includes a Free brunch cocktail (or mocktail) post class! Participants must pre-register to reserve your spot through the Smash Park App. 

Pulse Dance is an exhilarating cardio class that will torch calories and negativity while having fun & losing yourself to the moves and beat! No prior dance experience necessary. Wear sneakers and athletic clothing. Don't forget your water!

Calling all former and want to be dancers, this heels choreography workshop is for you! Ever fantasize about being a back up dancer on stage or in a music video? This is your chance to live out your dancer dreams. Learn a choreographed dance with counts set to one song and practice it throughout class followed by group performances. The pace of this class will vary, but you are sure to walk out sweaty after you pop and drop it harnessing your inner performer. Prior dance experience is recommended, but not required. Sturdy heels are encouraged, but sneakers are welcome too.
